Re: New temporary
electric service connection fee
The Rocky Mount City Council approved a change in the
temporary electric service fee effective July 1, 2010. This
change will affect all overhead single-phase 120/240 volt
temporary service requiring a service drop of no more than
one hundred feet without the installation of any City-owned
poles or transformers, or an underground single-phase
120/240 volt temporary service requiring a service lateral
of no more than five feet. The costs of the installation and
removal of a residential single-phase 120/240 volt temporary
service are included in the residential temporary service
connection fee. The fee is increased to $100 per meter.
For all other types of temporary service, the customer shall
pay the total installed cost plus removal cost minus salvage
value of the facilities installed.
